Release Date:

9th September 2026

Summary

BlastIQ™ Mobile (Underground) enables operators to record water and temperature conditions in a hole during the prep and charging workflow. Capturing this data provides visibility into hole conditions and supports QA/QC processes.

Depending on the site configuration, water can be captured either as a water measurement (depth or amount) or as a wet/dry indicator. Temperature is recorded as a numeric reading in either Celsius or Fahrenheit.

BIQ Admin Portal Configuration

Follow the steps below to enable water presence capture and temperature.

  1. Select a site and click the "BlastIQ Mobile Configuration" menu.
  2. Click the "Edit" button.

  • If the "Enable water presence capture" is set to False (No):
    • Operators can record a water measurement against the hole.
    • Two preferences toggles become visible under Ways of Working in preferences, allowing the site to configure how that measurement is captured:
      • Water measuring method: Amount of or Depth to
      • Default water measurement type: Body of water or Wet Sides
  • Note: Underground sites do not currently support water tolerances. Water measurements, including Wet Sides observations, can be recorded and used for reference; however, holes are not evaluated against tolerance thresholds and are not automatically classified as Wet based on recorded water values.
