Release Date:
19th December 2024

Summary

Clock skew occurs when the device clock drifts, often when prevented from syncing with internet time. It can lead to measurement errors and incorrect loading. To mitigate these risks, BlastIQ™ Mobile warns users when the device clock moves into unsafe ranges, such as 30 seconds minimum tolerated clock skew and 5 minutes maximum.

If the clock skew is greater than or equal to the maximum tolerated range, a critical message appears during start-up or after logout, and a critical reminder appears when opening a plan from the drill plan list.

Important Notes:

  • It is advisable that system clocks are corrected before a device is built, this is to avoid any clock skew warnings in subsequent application launches.
  • Restart the application after correcting/changing the device date/time.
  • The clock skew calculation may fail when there is no valid internet connection, or the internet connection does not meet BlastIQ Mobile's requirement.
