This Knowledge Base Article describes the functionality of the record cavity.
Summary
Capturing cavities is a feature within the BlastIQ™ Mobile Drilling function that allows drill operators to formally record the presence of voids (cavities) detected during hole drilling.
Record cavity intervals
- Navigate to the drilling page and select a relevant hole.
Tap the cavity icon.
Tap "+ New cavity" button.
Enter From and To depths.
- Use the numeric keypad to enter the start depth (From) and end depth (To) of the cavity. The Length field is calculated automatically.
- Confirm or correct any validation warnings.
- If the entry triggers a validation error, a warning banner will appear. Sample validation rules are:
'To' length must be greater than 'From' length: the end depth must always be deeper than the start depth.
Cavities cannot overlap: the depth range of a new cavity must not intersect an existing one on the same hole.
Cavity cannot exceed hole length: the "To" value cannot be greater than the hole length or hole drilled length.
- If the entry triggers a validation error, a warning banner will appear. Sample validation rules are:
Once cavities are saved, a numeric badge appears next to the cavity icon, reflecting the total number of cavities recorded for that hole and a purple dot indicator appears of that hole icon.
