Field Device Live Tracking provides real-time location updates for field devices, including those implemented on MMU, in the map component of the 'Blast Progress' dashboard. It displays each device latest known position, travel direction, and GPS connectivity status. This feature allows users to monitor device activity in the field and anticipate potential delays in expected performance. See Field Device Live Tracking Configure for setup requirements.
Navigation
To navigate to the Field Device Live Tracking:
- From the BlastIQ™ Insights toolbar, select Dashboards.

Select 'Blast Progress'.
Dashboard Information
The Field Device Live Tracking view includes the following components:
- Device location data export
- Device Tracking Toggle (On/Off)
- Legend
- Map interaction / Tooltip
Detailed information:

Device location data export
- Allows users to download a CSV file containing the latest location and accuracy information for each field device. This file provides a detailed view of device position and GPS signal quality over time.
- How to Export Device Data
- Navigate to the header section and click Device Data Export.
- Select a device.
- Interact with the dialog box to download the file.
- Open the file in Excel or any spreadsheet to review the data.

Fields Included in the downloaded file
Column Description Device Unique device identifier Equipment Equipment currently associated with the device Longitude Device longitude recorded Latitude Device latitude recorded Altitude Device altitude recorded (m) Horizontal Accuracy Estimated accuracy on the horizontal plane. Vertical Accuracy Estimated accuracy of the altitude. May be empty if the device could not calculate a reliable vertical fix. Time (Local) The timestamp of the location update, converted to the site's local time zone.
- Device Tracking Toggle
- The Device Tracking toggle controls whether live device locations are displayed on the map. This option is enabled by default to ensure users can immediately see where field devices are operating in real time.
- Toggle States

ON
- Device Tracking is active.
- The device icon is coloured blue.
- The device tracking legend becomes visible.
- The map updates automatically as new location data is received.

OFF
- Device Tracking is disabled.
- The Device Tracking icon is coloured grey.
- The legend is not visible .
- All other map layers remain visible

- If the device tracking is not enabled in the Admin Portal, the toggle will not appear in the map. This ensures that sites can control whether device tracking is available based on operational requirements.

Legend
- Provides a quick reference for understanding the status of field devices displayed on the map when Device Tracking is enabled. Each colour represents the state of the device.
- Online: Indicates that the device is actively reporting its location. The position on the maps is current and based on live data.
- Offline: Indicates that the device has not reported recently. The position shown is the last known location, and accuracy may vary depending on how long the device has been offline.
- Inactive: Indicates that the devices is not currently in use.
- The legend is for reference only and does not support interaction.
- Provides a quick reference for understanding the status of field devices displayed on the map when Device Tracking is enabled. Each colour represents the state of the device.

Map interaction
- When Device Tracking is enabled, the map displays all available field devices along with their current reporting state. Each device is represented by an icon and device name label.
- Device icon - indicates the device's state (Online, Offline, or Inactive)
- Device name - displayed next to the icon for quick reference (tooltip)
- Users can interact with devices directly on the map:
- Clicking the device icon or
- Clicking the device name
- Opens a tooltip containing detailed information about the selected device.
- When Device Tracking is enabled, the map displays all available field devices along with their current reporting state. Each device is represented by an icon and device name label.
Considerations
- We do not show the location of 'Support builds'.
- LoadPlus™ enabled trucks are not supported, as their GPS positioning is currently not compatible with the location acquisition method used by BlastIQ™ Mobile (Windows location service).
