- Release Date:
- 30th August 2023
- KBA Summary:
- This Knowledge Base Article describes the functionality of the Blast Progress dashboard in BlastIQ™ Insights.
Summary
BlastIQ™ Insights Blast Progress Dashboard allows real-time monitoring of the Drill and Blast process, ensuring effective task management and preventing delays in scheduled blasts. The dashboard is refreshed every 5 minutes and displays blasts from the past three days by default. This covers blasts modified or created within the last three days using SHOTPlus™, BlastIQ™ Mobile, LOADPlus™, or the BlastIQ™ External API.
There might be a delay of up to 20 minutes for a new blast to appear on the dashboard. This delay is due to calculating the blast boundary performed at the database level.
To navigate to the Blast Progress Dashboard:
- From the BlastIQ™ Insights toolbar, select Dashboards.
- From the Dashboards menu, select 'Blast Progress'.
Blasts can be filtered using the following filters:
- Days Selection:
- Choose 1, 3, 7, 14, and 30 from the dropdown list.
- The selected value determines the number of displayed blasts with a maximum limit of up to 20 blasts and a maximum of 15,000 holes.
- A warning message will be displayed if the total number of holes exceeds 15,000.
- Blast Status Filter:
- Select : All, Fired or Not Fired.
- Tags Filter:
- Click on the Tags icon.
- Select the desired tags from each category.
- Click Apply to apply the filter criteria.
- It will return the blasts containing the selected tags based on the following logic:
- OR for tags within the same category.
- AND for tags across categories.
- Click on Clear and then Apply to clear all tags filters.
- Click on the X on the top right to close the tags filter; any edits to the filter criteria will be lost if not previously applied. You can read more about Tags here.
- Clear All filters - clears any filters that have been applied.
- Last Refreshed:
- The last refresh time will be displayed, and the data will auto-refresh every 5 minutes.
The following information is shown on the Blast Progress Dashboard:
- Filter Bar.
- Blast Name Selector.
- Summary.
- Map.
- Progress Gauges.
- Blast Hole Status.
- Tasks Remaining.
- Legend.
Detailed information on each section:
-
Filter Bar
- For comprehensive details, please navigate to the Filters section.
-
Blast Name Selector
- Your chosen filter will determine how the dropdown list of blast names appears.
- Select one or more blasts from the dropdown list.
- When blasts are selected, the data displayed only shows the information related to the chosen blasts on the summary and charts.
- Clicking the "x" removes all selected blasts, or you can individually remove a blast by clicking the "x" next to its name.
- Summary
- Total Number of Blasts that have been fired or created.
- Total Number of Holes.
- Viable Holes = Count of holes that are not marked as "NotDrill" or "Abandoned".
- Open = Blasts that have not been fired.
-
Map
- The default view displays all the blasts, presenting detailed information about the blasts on the summary and charts. Fired blasts are excluded from the corresponding plots.
- The ability to select/unselect one or more blasts.
-
When no blasts are selected, it will display the complete data on the summary and charts.
-
On hover, it displays information such as blast name, hole's name and blast/hole status.
- Fired Blast
- Open Blast
-
Zoom in or out on the map.
-
- Mouse Wheel Scroll: Place the mouse pointer over the map and use the wheel scroll action on the mouse. Scrolling upwards will zoom in while scrolling downwards will zoom out.
- Touch Screen Pinch: If you're using a touch screen device, you can pinch inwards to zoom in and outwards to zoom out.
-
-
Progress Gauges
- Data displayed in this section is exclusively for open blasts that have not been fired yet. Blasts that have already been fired will not have any data populated.
- It displays different statuses, the total number of viable holes, and their percentage.
-
Drilled
- Holes that have any indication of being drilled, i.e. have drill actuals imported and uploaded from SHOTPlus™ or via API drill system integration, have a measured actual length or any loading recorded against them.
-
Calculations:
-
-
Percentage
- Drilled = (Number of drilled holes / Total viable holes) * 100
- Number of drilled holes = Sum of drilled + measured + loaded + stemmed holes
- Total viable holes = total designed holes - abandoned - drilled - fired holes
-
Percentage
-
-
Measured
- Holes with Actual Length, includes holes added in BlastIQ™ Mobile or LOADPlus™ or Drilled holes directly added to the API via drill system integration with actual length.
-
Calculations:
-
-
Percentage
- Measured = (Number of measured holes / Total viable holes) * 100
- Number of measured holes = Sum of measured + loaded + stemmed holes
-
Total viable holes = total designed holes - abandoned - drilled - fired holes
-
Percentage
-
-
Loaded
- All explosives have been checked.
- Percentage of holes that are fully loaded or stemmed.
-
Calculations:
-
Percentage
- Loaded = (Number of loaded holes / Total viable holes) * 100
- Number of loaded holes = (Sum of loaded and stemmed holes) that are viable.
-
Total viable holes = total designed holes - abandoned - drilled - fired holes
-
Percentage
-
Stemmed
- All decks are complete.
- Percentage of holes that are stemmed.
-
Calculations:
- Percentage
- Stemmed = (Number of stemmed holes / Total viable holes) * 100
- Number of stemmed holes = Total viable holes that have been stemmed
- Viable total holes= total designed holes - abandoned - drilled - fired holes
- Percentage
-
Blast Hole Status
- The information shown in this section is specifically for open blasts that haven't been fired. Blasts that have been fired won't have any data populated.
- On hover, it displays the count and percentage of holes in each state:
- Stemmed
- Loaded
- Partially loaded
- Measured
- Drilled
- Designed
- Non-Viable
- Unknown
-
Tasks Remaining
- The information shown in this section is specifically for open blasts that haven't been fired. Blasts that have been fired won't have any data populated.
- Displays the number of holes per state.
-
To Drill: Holes that are designed but haven't been drilled, measured, loaded or stemmed. 'To Drill' meters is the sum of the design length of all 'To Drill' holes.
- Calculations
- To Drill = Count of holes with drilling design but not yet drilled.
- Metres = Sum of Designed Length for holes that need to be drilled.
- Calculations
-
To Measure: Holes that are designed but haven't been measured, loaded or stemmed.
-
Calculations
- To Measure = Count of holes that are not measured, partially loaded, loaded or stemmed.
-
Calculations
-
To Load: Holes that are designed or added in the field but are not fully loaded or stemmed. This includes measured and partially loaded holes. The 'To Load weight' is the updated design weight or the difference between the actual weight and the updated design weight for partially loaded holes.
-
Calculations
- To Load = Count of holes that are neither loaded nor stemmed.
- To Load Weight = Sum of toLoadWeight for holes that need to be loaded.
-
Calculations
-
To Stem: Holes in any state apart from stemmed.
-
Calculations
- To Stem = Count of holes that are not yet stemmed.
-
Calculations
- Not Drilled: How many holes have been flagged as Not drilled.
- Abandoned: How may holes have been flagged as abandoned.
Example: A hole that has not been measured but is loaded is not counted as 'To Measure' or 'To Drill'. It will be classed as 'To Stem'.
-
To Drill: Holes that are designed but haven't been drilled, measured, loaded or stemmed. 'To Drill' meters is the sum of the design length of all 'To Drill' holes.
