This Knowledge Base Article describes the use of the Underground Comments Dashboard in BlastIQ™ Insights.
Summary
The Comments Dashboard displays multiple comments per hole, including the task performed, the author, and the equipment used at the time of posting.
Navigation
To navigate to the Underground Comments Dashboard:
- From the BlastIQ™ Insights toolbar, select Dashboards.
- From the Dashboards menu, select Hole Condition > Comments.
Filters
Blasts can be filtered using the following filters:
- Blast Name Search Filter:
- Type in the search box.
- Blasts shown are the one containing the typed in characters.
- Blast Status Filter:
- Select : All, Fired or Not Fired.
- Blast Date Range filter:
- Select Created or Fired Date.
- From and To fields are not mandatory.
- If date range filter is not used the blasts shown are the latest created/fired for the site.
- Maximum number of blasts shown is based on the Display Filter.
- Elevation filter:
- Choose a minimum and/or a maximum elevation.
- Select Collar or Grade.
- If elevation filter is not used the blasts shown any elevation range.
- Maximum number of blasts shown is based on the Display Filter.
- Tags filter:
- Click on the Tags icon.
- Select the desired tags from each category.
- Click Apply to apply the filter criteria.
- Site Map will return the blasts containing the selected tags based on the following logic:
- OR for tags within the same category.
- AND for tags across categories.
- Click on Clear and then Apply to clear all tags filters.
- Click on the X on the top right to close the tags filter by , any edits to the filter criteria will be lost if not previously applied.

- Clear All filters - clears any filters that have been applied.

Filter Bar
- Filtering by using multiple criteria.
- For comprehensive details, please navigate to the Filters section.

Comments Filter
- Comment Date
- Displays only comments logged within the selected date range.
- You can manually adjust the start and end dates to focus on a specific timeframe.
- The end date will auto-adjust to 15 days after the selected start date. This 15-day window is the maximum allowed range.
- Select Blasts
- Only blasts with hole comments will appear in the dropdown.
- Once a blast is selected, it's removed from the dropdown.
- Use the filter bar to quickly search and select from available blast options.
- The table will automatically refresh to show data linked to your selected blasts.
- Select Tasks
- Displays task types that have associated comments.
- Common task types include: Design, Drill, Prep, and Charge
- Select Users
- Only users who've added hole comments will appear in the dropdown.
- Selecting a user filters the table to show only their comments.
- Comment Date

Table View
- The table view dynamically updates based on the filters you apply. It displays data across the following columns:
- Blast Name
- Comment Date
- Comment
- Ring
- Hole Name
- Task
- User Name
- Equipment Name
- Search: Use the search boxes above each column to quickly filter results.
- Sort: Click any column header to sort the data in ascending or descending order.
- Download: Click the download button to export the current table view as a CSV file.
- The table view dynamically updates based on the filters you apply. It displays data across the following columns:
