Configure Multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your user profile.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your BlastIQ™ account, making it much harder for unauthorized people to access your information. In this guide, we'll walk you through the simple steps to enable MFA using either one-time passwords (OTPs) or SMS notifications.

Important Note:

This guide is specifically for users with individual BlastIQ™ accounts. If you have a Customer SSO or Orica account, please follow the instructions provided by your organization.

Step 1: Request MFA Activation

  • Contact BlastIQ™ Support: Reach out to the BlastIQ™ support team and request that they enable MFA for your account.

Step 2: Enroll Your Device

  • Check Your Email: You'll receive an email with a link to set up MFA.
  • Click the Link: Open the email and click the "ENROLL YOUR DEVICE" button.

 

Step 3: Choose Your MFA Method

OTP (Recommended): Use an authenticator app like Authy, Google Authenticator, or Microsoft Authenticator.

  • Scan the QR code provided in the browser using your authenticator app.
  • Enter the passcode displayed on your app's screen.

SMS: If you prefer using SMS, select the "I'd rather use SMS" option.

  • Enter your phone number.
  • You'll receive an SMS with a verification code. Enter it into the field provided.

Step 4: Complete the Process

  • Click Continue: Once you've entered the verification code, click "Continue" to finish the setup.

That's It!
From now on, whenever you log in to BlastIQ™, you'll be prompted to enter a code generated by your chosen MFA method in addition to your username and password. This extra security measure helps protect your account from unauthorized access.
