Summary
The Orica Digital Solutions Admin portal is a robust platform that allows administrators to configure a site to support multiple customer sites. By effectively configuring the site through the portal, BlastIQ™ Mobile can easily support multi-site functionality, catering to the diverse needs of various customer sites. The Plant will be configured on the tablet, and the end user will access the sites contained in the site group through the plant installation on the device.
- To perform actions such as adding a new site with a site type equal to Plant in the ODS Admin portal, follow these steps:
- On the admin page, click on "Create Site" button
- Input valid data to all required fields like Site Name, Company, Country, Timezone, System of Measurement, and Country Code and select "Plant" from the Type drop-down list.
- Select a site group from the Plant Site Group drop-down list.
- Click "Create a Site."
Note:
- Create a site group first for the sites serviced by the plant.
- Place all the required sites in the site group.
- Once created, a "Plant" site cannot change its plant site group. A new location needs to be made.
- Device licensing will be associated with the "Plant" site, not individual sites.
- BlastIQ Mobile Configuration is set for the "Plant" site and will apply to all sites serviced by the Plant device.
- All other configuration is site based. i.e. products.
- To perform actions such as editing a piece of existing site information in the ODS Admin portal, follow these steps:
On the admin page, search for your site.
- Click "Edit Site."
- Change the information you want to update and click "Save".
Note:
- If the Type equals Plant, then Site Type and Plant Site Group are read-only.
On the Site Groups page search for your Site Group.
- Click the "Sites" tab or menu.
Click the "Add Sites" button.
- Search for your site and can select multiple sites.
Click the "Add Sites" button when done.
Build the BlastIQ Mobile device for plant sites, configuring it to cater to their needs. This setup enables seamless switching between different sites within the group.
- Launch the BlastIQ™ Mobile application.
- Locate and tap the "Switch Sites" button on the Login screen. This will open a list of available sites for selection.
- Use the search field to find the site you want to access.
- Upon selecting a site, a modal window will appear, seeking confirmation for the site switch. To proceed, tap the "Switch Site" button.
- Select a user from the available options.

Note:
- Sites can only be switched online.
- All data must be synched before switching sites.
- On switching sites, all local data is cleared, and new site data is downloaded.
