How to select multiple objects within SHOTPlus™ using the select tool

The purpose of the Select tool is to select, move & edit objects in the main window. It can be located on the View tools toolbar.

Object Selection Methods

• Individual object
• Multiple object select;
  • Individually
  • Via Lasso
  • Via right click menu selection
• Select & move individual or grouped objects

Individual Object

This method is used to select a single or grouped object

1. With the Select tool active;
2. Left mouse button click to select the object or grouped objects

Multiple Objects - Individually

This method is used to select multiple objects on an individual basis

1. With the Select tool selected;
2. Left mouse button click to select the first object or grouped objects
3. Hold down the Ctrl key & Left mouse button click on an additional object
4. Repeat step 3 until all required objects are selected

Multiple Objects - Lasso

This method is used to select multiple objects via a Lasso function

1. With the Select tool active;
2. Left mouse button click and hold
3. Drag the mouse along one side of the objects to be selected
4. Release and then click the left mouse button
5. Drag the mouse along the next side of the objects to be selected 
6. Click on the left mouse button and release
7. Drag the mouse along the next side of the objects to be selected 
8. Click on the left mouse button and release
9. Drag the mouse along the final side of the objects to be selected
10. Ensure the first path of the first Lasso line is crossed over 
11. Click on the left mouse button and release
12. All objects within the Lasso path will now be selected

Multiple Objects - Right Click Menu Selection

This method is used to select multiple objects from a predefined menu list

1. With the Select tool active;
2. Left mouse button click to select the first object or grouped objects
3. Right mouse button click and select the required option

• • • Select All - Selects all visible objects

• • • Select Like - Selects all visible objects that are alike e.g: All objects that are blastholes

• • • Select Exact - Selects all visible objects that have exactly the same properites e.g: All blastholes on the same row with the same properties such as hole type, material type or diameter 

Select & Move an Individual or Grouped Object

This method is used to select a single object or grouped object and move to a new postion on the main screen

1. With the select tool selected;
2. Left mouse button click & hold on the object or grouped objects
3. Drag the object by moving the mouse to the desired location
4. Release the Left mouse button
