Introduction
Users can move rings between two existing BlastIQ™ plans or move rings from an existing BlastIQ™ plan to a new plan.
- Rings can only be moved between plans on the same BlastIQ™ site.
- The loading design, measurements, comments or actuals for any holes contained within a moved ring will be moved to the destination plan.
When moving rings between plans, BlastIQ™ Underground Desktop must resolve all duplicate Ring IDs before completing the move. Users should ensure, as much as is practicable, that there are no duplicate Ring IDs between the rings being moved and the destination plan. Where Duplicate Ring IDs exist, BlastIQ™ Underground Desktop will allow users to return to the Ring Selection screen and rename rings as required.
To move rings between plans in BlastIQ™ Underground Desktop:
- Ensure that the source plan exists in BlastIQ™ and has been loaded in the BlastIQ™ Underground Desktop.
- Navigate to the Tools tab on the Ribbon and select the Move Rings button.
- If you have more than one plan loaded into the application, you will asked to select a plan. Select a plan using a checkbox, then select Next.
- The source plan must be synced with BlastIQ™ before completing the Move Rings operation. This is to ensure that all holes and comments exist in BlastIQ™ prior to the move. Select Yes to sync with BlastIQ™ and proceed to the next step.
- To select rings from the source plan:
- You can use the search bar to dynamically filter rings by ring name for easier selection.
- Select a ring by using the check box next to the ring name.
- Optional: Once selected, a ring can be renamed.
- Next, select the type of destination plan: a new plan or an existing plan.
If you are moving rings to a new plan:
- Ensure the "Create new plan" checkbox is selected,
- Provide a name for the new plan. Note: you will not be able to proceed until a unique plan name has been entered.
- Optional: apply a plan group label to the new plan. Refer to this article for more information about grouping blasts.
- Select Move Rings to start the operation.
If you are moving rings to an existing plan:
- Ensure the "Move to existing" checkbox is selected.
- Use the dropdown list to select from open plans on your site.
- Optional: use the refresh button to refresh the plan list. If you can't see the plan that you would like to move the rings to, go to BlastIQ™ Insights and ensure the plan is not in a fired or deleted state.
- Select Move Rings to start the operation.
- You will see a screen that shows the progress of the Move Rings operation. If there are any errors during the operation they will be displayed here. You will be provided with the option to Retry, or Go Back to the previous screen and change your specifications as shown in the example below which shows an error due to duplicate ring IDs.
- A successful Move Rings operation will show the successful steps, and provide you with the option to start a new move rings operation via the Start Over button or exit the wizard via the Finish button.
- Once you have exited the wizard, the main window will show the destination plan, and hide the source plan. Use the eye icons in the project manager to toggle plan visibility.
