The Notifications feature allows users to receive updates on specific events for sites they subscribe to.
This document explains how to:
- Set up and customise notifications in the ODS Platform
- Subscribe to specific site events
- Install and configure the ODS Notifier app
- Understand notification delivery methods and contents
Setting up Notifications
Access the "Notifications" page by selecting it in the left menu of the ODS Platform. From there, users can complete the following steps in any order:
- Enable Notifications
- Toggle "Enable Notifications" to "On".
- Toggle "Digest Emails" to "On" to receive event summaries. These can be further customised by selecting reception frequency (daily/weekly) and time. Reception day selection is only available if frequency is set to weekly.
- Subscribe to Events
- In the "Subscriptions" section, select the relevant site. For each technology and event type, choose one or more subscription methods:
- ODS Notifier - delivers near real-time push notifications from BlastIQ™ and FRAGTrack™
- Email - sent as soon as an event occurs
- Digest - summarised notifications delivered at regular intervals

ODS Notifier: Setup and Notification Contents
You can install the ODS Notifier app on a supported device to receive real-time push alerts for subscribed events.
Supported devices: Smartphones and tablets powered by Android and iOS.
Unsupported: Smart watches
Minimum OS version: Android 12+, iOS 16+
How to Install
Option 1: Search in Your App Store
- Open your device's app store.
- Search for ODS Notifier.
- Tap Download or Install.
- When prompted, allow notifications.
- Confirm that your device settings allow push notifications from the app.
Option 2: Use Direct Download Links
Notification Contents
Once subscribed, users will receive alerts when selected events occur. Notifications are delivered via the ODS Notifier app and are designed to help users respond quickly. The app displays up to the latest 30 notifications, ensuring users stay informed and can take timely action.
Each notification includes an Open button that directs users to the relevant system for deeper context:
- For BlastIQ™, tapping the Open icon takes users to the Blast Management history tab in the BlastIQ™ Insights. Read more here.
