Product Database Migration
This update will include changes affecting backwards compatibility.
SHOTPlus™ is being migrated to the BlastIQ™ product database, where products will be managed at a site level through the BlastIQ™ admin portal. The existing infrastructure, which supported a global region-level product list, is being retired in 2025.
What does this mean for all users:
- Users will be required to log in to BlastIQ™ to select their site and load their product list.
- During the migration period, SHOTPlus™ will prompt users to resolve product conflicts where they will select supported products to replace unsupported products.
- There have been some changes to the user interface to facilitate these changes.
Due to the above compatibility issues it is recommended that updates of SHOTPlus™ are completed for all users, as soon as possible.
Files created in SHOTPlus™ 6.20.2 or greater will not be readable by older versions of SHOTPlus™.
Detailed information of these changes can be found in these Knowledge Base Articles:

- Users can now apply pyrotechnic and EBS products to a hole via manual loading.
- Users can now visualise "Temperature Trend" of holes using the Analytics view tool.8
- SHOTPlus™ checks for hole type and material type conflicts when importing a plan from BlastIQ™ into a new or existing plan.9
- A new diagram called "HoleDiagramActuals" is now available to be used in reports.
- SHOTPlus™ now reads hole comments from the i-kon™ Digital .lgf file.
Information
- Information on how to create and view BlastIQ™ comments can be found here.
- Information on "Water After Backfill or Stand-off" in SHOTPlus can be found here. More information about "Water After Backfill or Stand-off" measurements in BlastIQ™ Mobile can be found here.
- The text file must have the X, Y, and Z co-ordinates and the station ID. Existing seed waveform data can be copied to the new monitoring points.
- For further information about the WebGen™ device export, refer to the video walkthrough.
- Users can select a parent folder where the individual RHINO files are stored and then select which files to process and import.
- The plan must be exported to BlastIQ™ so that the hole GUIDs can be created and retrieved from BlastIQ™.
- Users are able to select multiple monitoring points, view their time envelope charts in one dialog box, and view the data summary.
- Information on how to view holes using the "Temperature Trend" view in Analytics view can be found here.
- If there is a mismatch between hole or material types when importing from BlastIQ™, users will be prompted to map the hole types and/or material types from BlastIQ™ to the SHOTPlus™ file. Please refer to this article for more information.

- When using the Laser Wizard to import hole positions, there is now a checkbox which allows users to apply a row identifier.1
- Users are now notified if the number of survey points they have selected meets the requirements for the resection calculation.
- Some improvements were made to the survey resection report.
- Validation has been improved in graphical loading rules to prevent users specifying loading lengths outside the range.
- Some general printing improvements were made, including;
- Adjusting "Text Size" in the Print Manager will also adjust the size of hole label.
- The line weight for tie-in objects has been increased to improve visibility when printing.
- Adding separate "Hole label Text Size" and "Title text size" in the Print Manager. The title box size is linked to the "Title text size" value.2
- Adjusting line weight for better visibility.
- Printing to the correct page size as defined by the user.
- Printing to the correct user defined print area across various zoom modes.
- In the Fragmentation Prediction tool, SHOTPlus will now allow data pairs with duplicate passing % values, allowing users to plot the entire fragmentation curve.
- Report errors will be logged in log files to facilitate troubleshooting.
- Users are now able to name tabs in the Time Envelope tool.3
- When importing a plan from BlastIQ™, users can import and map hole and material types where they do not match.
- Improved behaviour and handling of holes that were initially laid out using a polygon boundary.
- Improved error handling when printing rendered faces.
- When using the Profile Tool workbox, users can now hover over a value in the burden table to view it to three decimal places.
- Some general printing improvements were made, including;
- Users are now able to manipulate photogrammetry surfaces by:
- Selecting a photogrammetry object.
- Moving the object to a new layer.
- Changing the transparency of the object in the layer properties.
- The "BlastIQ move holes between plans" wizard now checks for conflicts between hole types and material types before committing the changes to BlastIQ™.4
- A BlastIQ™ import error message was updated with an improved description.
- The AVM job list is now sorted in reverse order of ID.
Information
- To use the row identifier, ensure the "Set row ID from profile number" checkbox is checked before selecting "Process data". If the box is unchecked, hole IDs will not contain a row identifier, i.e. be numerical only.
- Note that text labels also affect legends that are displayed, including the hole legend and the tie legend.
- To rename a tab in the Time Envelope tool, double click on the tab header to edit its name.
- For more information about the changes to the "BlastIQ move holes between plans" wizard, please refer to this article.
