A Backfill Tolerance is an amount of overdrill that, if exceeded, should result in a hole being marked as requiring backfill. Tolerances are defined per hole type, and holes may be checked against them after a Dip Length (also known as Actual Length) measurement is recorded.
For information on how the Backfill Tolerance setting may also be used by BlastIQ™ Mobile, see Loading rules for BlastIQ™ Mobile.
1. Navigate to Edit > Design Data
2. Set a Backfill Tolerance for each hole type, and ensure that the Use Backfill option is enabled
Note that disabling the Use Backfill option disables all automated backfill functions for holes of the affected type (including in BlastIQ™ Mobile)
3. With the tolerance(s) set, any hole in the plan that exceeds the set amount of overdrill will automatically be marked as requiring backfill in the Hole Table
If loading rules are applied to the hole, a backfill deck will automatically be inserted into the design
