Update October 2021

  New

  1. Temperature Heat Map

A temperature heat map is displayed in Mobile to facilitate the loading of elevated temperature blasts. Temperature range brackets are customised in the Admin Portal at a site level, and then when a temperature value is captured in the field against a hole, it is displayed in the corresponding colour on the map view.

  2. Stem All Holes

Holes that have been completely loaded, or are designed as stemming only can be stemmed in a bulk action. An option will be made available at the top of the screen when there are holes that can be stemmed.

  3. Surface Tie Up

Surface tie up plans are available on the tablet for both non-electric plans and electronic plans. Non-Electric plans will display all the surface timing information while electronic plans will display logger information and logger paths. Map options are available for the tie-up map to customise what information is displayed for users and GPS location is also available on the map. Initially this feature will require SHOTPlus Beta until the next production release of SHOTPlus.

    Note:

    • The tie up tab will not display if there is no tie up available
    • The tie up tab will not display if a newly added site product is required for the tie up but is not synchronised to the device - A message will be displayed in the notification drawer in this case.  A restart of BlastIQ Mobile while connected to the internet will resolve the issue.

  4. Keypads can be moved around the screen to allow users to see information behind it by selecting the header of the keypad.mceclip0.png

  Improved

  1. Depth to the First Intercept
The Depth to the first intercept can now be set lower than the dip depth

  2. Charging Panel Navigation
Users can now navigate in the charging panel if opened via the loading map.  The order of the navigation is not impacted by any list filtering and the order will be governed by the order in which holes are exported from Shotplus (this is almost always alphanumeric order)

  3. Performance and Stability Improvements
Significant improvements have been made to the handling of all update events throughout BlastIQ mobile.  These changes will have a significant impact on application performance and stability - especially in scenarios where large floods of events are likely.  These include stemming large numbers of holes and offline-online scenarios involving large blasts and multiple devices/MMUs

Update 9th of July 2021

Support for Packaged Product:

  • Packaged product will be able to be sent up as part of a design to BlastIQ Mobile. The number of packages and product type will be sent up from SHOTPlus and the same information can be recorded in mobile as actuals.
  • Note: the tamping factor as available in SHOTPlus is not available within the rest of the system. Holes containing packaged product will be treated as manually loaded and will only adjust loading based on changes in hole depth.
  • Note: this feature won't be available in full until SHOTPlus is released to production.

Plan Level Notes:

  • The ability to record notes at the plan level has been included to complement the existing feature available in Insights. Diary style notes can be entered on either BlastIQ Mobile or in Insights and be available on either application. Notes are time stamped and associated with a user.

Map Improvements:

  • Improvements have been made to the map functionality to have the hole ID's remain upright when the map is rotated.
  • Modifications have been made to how the selectable area of a hole is chosen. This is now available in a slider rather than a selectable number.

mceclip4.png

  • Further improvements have been made to allow users to centre the map on the GPS location when it is in use by selecting the compass icon.

mceclip3.png

  Improved

  1. Handling of the inconsistent state where a hole has been marked as 'not drilled' on one device and has actuals collected on another device. Users will now be able to correct the inconsistent state.
  2. Ability to search the drill plan list page
  3. Show calculated and actual values on the deck cards
  4. Ability to clear actual hole diameter for a designed hole
  5. When users switch type of products on the actual side of the charging panel (either from bulk products to stemming products or vice versa) when actual information is already collected (weight and/or horizon), users will need to clear the already collected information before the products can be switched.
  6. Support for Finnish language.
  7. Copying of hole parameters automatically when a hole is marked as a redrill of another when a hole is added on the device.

April

Update 4th of April 2021

BlastIQ Mobile Hotfix Release - 4th April 2021

This hotfix addresses:

  • User and equipment not updating from Admin (this may still require a refresh of mobile, but no changes to admin settings)
  • Dipping holes to the same length as drill actual data works as expected

A notification will appear in the BlastIQ Mobile app on start-up once the update is available. We hope this will enable customers to perform the update without assistance from the specialist.

For further information on an update to the software, please contact the Support Team at blastiqsupport@orica.com or via web support.blastiq.com.

Orica released an update to BlastIQ Mobile in April 2021.

User List & Equipment List from Admin Portal:

  • Improvements have been made to define both the user and equipment lists in the Admin portal. These lists will be brought down to the devices and remove the need to recreate these lists each time a device is built.
  • This change will meant that existing user and equipment lists won't be available on the devices when the software has been updated. New lists will need to be created in the Admin portal.
  • An option of 'Guest' will be available on the device for users that aren't yet created. Similarly, the option of 'None' will be available on the device where the equipment is not yet created or an equipment field is not needed.

Capture an Intercept Value:

  • An option has been included for users to collect an intercept value in the field that can be taken back to SHOTPlus and used to create a strata surface for use in loading rules.
  • The option needs to be enabled in the Admin portal to make it available on the tablet
  • Further information can be found here.

Display of Initiators Required for a Path:

Update November 2021

Inconsistent Hole State:

  • With information being sent in through multiple avenues and with multiple devices being able to work offline, an inconsistent hole status tag has been introduced.
  • If a hole has conflicting measurements (eg a water depth longer than the measured hole depth), an inconsistent tag will be applied and the inconsistent fields will be highlighted. Users will be able to address these issues on the Mobile device by selecting one of the fields. Further information about the field will be provided in the keypad that is opened when selecting a field.

Initiation Loading Rules & Capture of Actuals:

  • Initiation loading rules from SHOTPlus will be sent up to the platform and made available to apply in BlastIQ Mobile. Rules will apply in response to changes recorded in the field during the QA/QC process to provide users with the most up to date initiation design based on the current in hole conditions.
  • Design initiator location and type will be displayed in the Initiation tab in BlastIQ Mobile. These initiators can be copied to the actual side to easily accept that these initiators have been loaded into the blast hole. Extra initiators and/or accessories can also be added.
  • An option will be provided in SHOTPlus so that users can send up a design without initiation rules if they choose to.
  • Further information on how to write initiation rules can be found here.

mceclip0.png

Recalculate Deck Weight with Changed Product Selection:

  • On the Actual side of the charging panel, improvements have been made so that if a user selects a different density bulk product when the keypad is open, the calculated product weight required to fill that deck will be recalculated. This will happen only when an entry hasn't previously been saved against the deck.

Enforce Recording a Hole Depth Before Loading:

  • Through the Admin Portal, a site administrator will be able to enable an option to ensure that Mobile Operators are required to enter a measured hole depth before they are able to enter and actual loading data. This setting will propagate to all devices.

Other Features:

  • Improvements for boot time: Modifications to the build options and for the period of time that a device can be built for
  • Introduction of a maintenance page
  • Introduction of the grade point on the hole diagram
