2019

Updates to BlastIQ™ Mobile released on 2019 bring in new features, improvements and bug fixes. For further information, please contact BlastIQ™ Support at support.blastiq.com.

Update 8th October 2019

Please note the following features are not compatible with the current version of the BlastIQ Enabled MMU:

  • Removing a deck
  • Inserting a deck
  • Setting final stemming length
  • Marking a deck as loaded not measured
  • Marking a hole as not drilled

Features included in the October release

Actual Hole Diagram:

  • A diagram on the actual side of the charging panel has been included
  • Users can record actual loading information against a diagram instead of the list view
  • Improvements have been made to the copy design to actual functionality based on user feedback. When users click on the edit button for a deck, the product name is pre-populated, however weight and horizon values need to be accepted individually as actual values.
  • A new charging keypad has been introduced

Edit and Delete Users:

  • Per device, users can now be edited or deleted without requiring the need to rebuild the software
  • Improvements have been made to the appearance username field
  • Further information on this feature can be found here.

Select Equipment:

  • When logging into BlastIQ Mobile, users will be able to select an item of equipment.
  • The option of "None" is available for users who may not be using equipment, and this option is pre-set.
  • Set up of the equipment is required at the device level. Further information on this feature can be found here.

Mark A Hole As Not Drilled:

  • A hole can now be marked as not drilled. The status will populate through the system

Display If Holes are Overloaded/Under loaded :

  • A trigger value of 10% has been set for overloaded and under loaded decks
  • A user will have the option to display this warning or not

Remove A Deck:

  • Remove a deck from the actual side of the charging panel

Insert A Deck:

  • Insert a deck on the actual side of the charging panel

Mark A Deck As Loaded Not Measured:

  • Mark a deck as loaded but not measured for the inert decks only, eg for sites that want to record final stemming deck was completed but did not measure the final deck.

Record A Length for Top Stemming Deck:

  • Instead of having to record a horizon value of 0.0, the support for recording a length for the top stemming deck has been introduced.

  1. Updates to Portuguese, Russian and French translations
  2. Update to Map translations
  3. Inclusion of backfill and redrill holes in the dipped count for blast progress
  4. Updated north indicator on the map
  5. Improvements to clear search functionality when filters applied
  6. Additional pre-defined comment for extra primer
  7. Allow usernames to begin with a letter or number
  8. Holes created on the device cannot be deleted while they have actual values for loading collected against them - holes must be cleared of these values before the delete functionality will be available.
  9. Add deck will be disabled when a hole is in the stemmed state
  10. Editing of the deck horizon will be disabled when the hole is in the stemmed state
  11. Option to build the device for all time or 60 days (note build time or performance will be impacted by selecting all time)
  12. Option to auto hide unfired blasts older than 60 days (note selecting to not auto hide blasts could have an impact on device performance)

Update 6th June 2019

Features included in the June release:

Blast Progress:

  • Blast progress can be viewed by hole status on the tablet on a per blast basis. 

 

Map Options:

  • Options related to the map have now been moved to the map page from the preferences page. This includes enabling GPS.

  • The selectable area around the blast hole can be modified through the map options. 

Up to Date Sync Details:

  • Improvements have been made to the sync details. More details are available to inform users whether information has synchronised to and from the cloud.

  1. Support for faster build times and start up times
  2. Support for 5000 blast holes across the system
  3. Selected hole is now highlighted in green on the list view for better visibility
  4. A minimum zoom state has been set for the set path mode 
  5. Hole length is now a required field when adding a blast hole on the map view
  6. Updated translation for "dipped" in Spanish

Update 10th April 2019

Features included in the April release:

GPS:

  • Basic GPS for positioning is available on the devices 
  • A north compass has been included on the map to assist in orientation.

 

Diameter:

  • Diameter is included in the hole list - this field can be edited as required
  • Diameter is a now a required field when adding a hole on the map view 

 

Path Setting:

  • Users can now swipe to create a path to enable faster and easier path creation

  Fixed

  1. Hole list doesn't update automatically and requires a forced refresh
  2. Actual depth field shows 0.0m when nothing is entered

  Improved

  1. Inclusion of hole status icons on the hole list
  2. Up sync defaults to yes

Features included in the February release:

Copy design to actual:

Add hole functionality:

  • The add hole functionality has been removed from the list view and is now only available in the map view. This will ensure that all holes added on the device will have an x and y coordinate.

Map view:

  • The ability to filter holes by status (backfill and redrill status) has been added to the map view.
  • Changes to the rendering of the map to maintain performance with larger blast patterns
  • A status legend for the map has also been included. This can be accessed by the slide out panel on the bottom of the map view

Supported Hole Limit:

  • The supported hole limit through the system has been increased to 3000 holes.

  Fixed

  1. Fixed Bug: wrong holes displayed on the charging dialogue when a hole is selected from the map.
  2. Fixed Bug: Long usernames create two users
  3. Fixed Bug: Set path not supporting deleted holes
  4. Fixed Bug: Behaviour of notifications for backfill/redrill required. Notifications will now be hidden when actual loading data has been collected against a blasthole.
  5. Fixed Bug: Hole status filter shows different counts when status changes from backfill/redrill to stemmed

  Improved

  1. Improvements to the updater when checking for updates
  2. Retain density of the bulk product when displaying the product name in the charging panel
  3. Restyle of the keyboard

Hole design visualisation

  • Hole diagrams have been added to improve visualisation of deck designs
  • Hole diagrams update on the fly when a loading rule or tolerance is applied

Improved loading workflow

  • Full screen charging panel allows for more hole information on screen at one time
  • Next and previous buttons allow you to step through loading paths more efficiently
  • Holes are marked as complete when hole has bulk loaded (previously required stemming)

  1. Fixed bug: Some data stops appearing on the interface when device wakes from sleep
  2. Fixed bug: Rounding error causing stemmed holes to be marked as "partially loaded"

  Improved

  1. A more extensive list of pre-defined hole comments. New comments include:
    • Dead hole
    • Drill to contact
    • Liner
    • Requires top up
    • Topped up
    • Not drilled
    • Touch coal
  2. Removed the ability to mark a plan as blasted on the device (functionality moved to BlastIQ™)
  3. Changes to installer to allow multi-user installations on one device
