6.8.2 SHOTPlus™ Beta Release Notes

Version 6.8.2 of SHOTPlus™ Beta, first offered to users on Thursday, 7th October 2021.
A notification will appear on start-up in SHOTPlus™ Beta, once the update is available. We hope this will enable customers to perform the update without assistance from a BlastIQ™ specialist.

  1. SP6-1168: SHOTPlus™ now allows the import of 'EBS Hole Time' via the text importer1.
  2. SP6-1221: Exclusion Zone Surface that represents worst case horizontal flyrock trajectories of given outputs2.
  3. SP6-1222: New registerable 'Topography' surface.
  4. SP6-1223: Maximum vertical distance added to the output summary for the Exclusion Zone Tool.
  5. SP6-1371: Implemented Blast File Encryption and Fingerprinting for WebGen™ 200 exports and imports.
  6. SP6-1461: Added 'Edit Deck Measurements' tool to manually enter 'Actual' deck measurements that can be synced with BlastIQ™.
  7. SP6-1479: Exclusion zone outputs can now be clipped to blast bench plane, or the registered topography surface.
  8. SP6-1506: New 'Exclusion Surface' default layer.


    1. EBS Hole Time sets the time for the hole, times for individual detonators within the hole will be equal to the EBS Hole Time plus any offsets defined in the initiation rules.
    2. For generation of the Exclusion Zone Surface, flyrock generated by Stemming Ejection and Cratering is assumed to have an initial trajectory of the sum of the hole angle and the dispersion angle, up to a maximum of 45°. Flyrock generated by Face Burst is assumed to have an initial trajectory of 45°.


  1. SP6-1405: Strata intercepts are now only assigned based on hole track location.
  2. SP6-1490: Maximum constant radius distances when using the Exclusion Zone tool increased to 2,000 m.
  3. SP6-1480: Clip Exclusion Zone Tool outputs to the registered 'Topography' surface. 


  1. SP6-1259: Profile trace values were being incorrectly inferred and displayed for areas above the start of a trace.
  2. SP6-1263: Hole measurement tool was being hidden when used via analytics view.
  3. SP6-1299: SHOTPlus™ Reports were not being limited to 'Selected Objects Only' when option was selected.
  4. SP6-1365: Profile logging tool was not correctly displaying two traces simultaneously where the trace values had different scales.
  5. SP6-1385: 'Actual' Powder Factor and Energy Factor analytic views were not being displayed where holes did not have a loading design.
  6. SP6-1487: SHOTPlus™ was incorrectly loading blastholes with detonator lead lengths that were not selected as 'available' in the resource list.
  7. SP6-1488: Import a loading table template with a different number of defined decks was causing an unhandled exception.
  8. SP6-1489: 'Actual' hole tracks were visible behind opaque surfaces.
  9. SP6-1505: WebGen detonator information was not being shown in the EBS logging summary after import.
